Description
Airlaid is a cellulose based nonwoven wiper that is constructed by blowing cellulose onto a latex binding agent. This nonwoven wiper has great absorbency and capacity to hold liquids. White wipers are ideal for use in wiping applications where detecting grease and grime residue is essential. Not recommended for use in solvent based wiping, as the latex binding agent may breakdown.
Uses very short fibers like mixtures of wood pulp blown on to a bonding material like latex.
- Limted use wipes: use once and dispose
- Pros: Highly absorbent, Low cost
- Cons: Leaves lint (wood pulp), Not durable, Can’t be used with solvents
